Are you a parent who wants to know what’s going on everyday at your child’s school? With a few clicks of the mouse, information from class assignments to your child’s latest exam score is available for you to view online. The Waterford School District provides parents and students two ways to access information using the internet: Edline and Parent Portal.

Edline allows parents or students secure access school or classroom news, school calendars, and direct links to the library and many other sites from their personal computers. In addition, the Waterford School District utilizes Edline to communicate important District news and information, including urgent messages. Parents and students simply register their email address which allows receipt of these messages.

Parent Portal allows parents secure real time access to report card grades, assignments with current grade status, transcripts, and current contact information you provided to the school.  Actual attendance is displayed. Since Parent Portal gives access directly into the teacher’s grade book, it requires a separate logon. Parents will register and create a single parent account which will allow them access to all of their child(ren)’s information.

Statistics show that students who have parents involved in their education are more likely to succeed. Edline and Parent Portal increase parental involvement and student learning.
