Adult Education provides students with the opportunity to
achieve education levels equivalent to those of high-school
graduates. Adult education is a program of academic instruction for
adults, including but not limited to, basic reading, writing,
speaking and mathematics; high school completion; general education
development (GED) preparation and pre-employment training.
Community Education classes provide enrichment and academic
opportunities for children and adults who want to learn a new skill,
explore an interest area or enrich their personal or professional
lives.
While many of our instructors are professionals, we actively search
for people who have hobbies or a passion for something which can be
developed as a class. We maintain a solid set of traditionally
successful classes while continually researching and developing new
offerings. We
are always searching for new instructors who will share
their talents with our community - a job skill, a craft, a foreign
language, a performing art, a physical activity, or a home
improvement technique. Diversity is the key to meeting the
community's needs, so we are always open to fresh ideas for new and
interesting courses.
Join the thousands of students who have attended Waterford Adult and
Community Education classes.
Our goal is to offer opportunities that best meet the needs of our
community. We value your input. Please let us know if you have
suggestions for additional classes or ideas for enhancing our
current offerings.
We look forward to seeing you in our classrooms, gymnasiums, and
pools & fitness centers!
