Our team of professionals is ready to meet your child’s hunger
for food and health. Our lunches
are planned with three
things in mind:
-
Nutrition
for growing bodies
-
Foods
they love for healthy appetites
-
Prices
that are a value to you
How do we do it? Our director and our manager of food and
nutrition are continually in the process of exploring fresh
menu ideas for nutritional value and appetite appeal. We
frequently survey parents and students for feedback on what
they would like to see served in our lunchrooms. Our staff
encourages students to voice their food preferences and to
give us input on what they would like to see offered in the
school cafeterias.
Each lunch is prepared to meet the recommended dietary
allowance for each of the age groups. Every meal offers a
minimum of five items required from the food pyramid:
-
Meat or meat alternate
-
Fruit
-
Vegetable
-
Grains/bread
-
Milk
Students are offered all five components. They must take three
of the five offered items from the various food groups to
qualify for a meal and to ensure that the meal meets the
proper nutrient levels.
